Have you ever tried setting a camera in front of you, get a lil' drunk and start a rant on whatever issue's on the table?

This is what Kevin McDonald actually does in 'The Shot of the Day.' He'll start his everyday rant, which usually aims at liberals & Lindsay Lohan-like trash, by saying: 'Welcome to The Shot of the Day, today's shot goes on a little (tequila / rum / vodka) .... I wanna talk about this crazy-ass New Jersey mom who got arrested for taking her 5-year old to a tanning room...) Cheers, Kev!

He's not Bobby from Supernatural. But he does loves booze and chases shape-shifters & ghosts.

You gotta love this guy: he looks like Yogi the Bear after 20 years of a dehumanizing job, living in a state whose guts he hates (California), dealing with a whole bunch of liberals, commies, politically correct 'pundits' who claim Kev's racist or crap such as 'I'm pretty sure he had quite a few shots before making this video. Nobody can be that right-wing when sober.'

Sober? This is the Innernet, bitches

And THAT's right Kevin's game. He's right-wing, a solid conservative who's not willing to change a bit but's ready to spit it all in your face instead no matter what. An old-school American Falling Down-like dude who chose to speak his freaking mind and wipe his ass with what's politically correct instead of grabbing a shotgun and shooting at an elementary school. He doesn't have to change his views. He doesn't have to be kind. And he won't. You watch the videos and can be positive that this guy's not gonna change his speech around his family, peers or colleagues.

If I weren't totally against alcohol (and dogs), I'd definitely have a couple of beers with this guy.

I do NOT agree with many of his views on the YouTube blog. I don't have to. I'm the kind of reader who simply enjoys the way a text is written instead of what it actually reads. That's why I find Stephen King, Dean Koontz and all that shitload of American writers so damn bubblegum. Yet that's material for future posts. Let's focus. When it comes to vlogging, I appreciate the way it is made. In fact, I appreciate the way these views opposed to mine are presented. As beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we all see the world from our particular lenses, which are often shaped by our personalities, spiritual beliefs, family background and many more factors. I'm not a big fan of America, and in my previous post you can see how much I object to American traditions such as the Second Amendment, drug abuse and mass killings in the Middle East for oil. However, I love to take a sit and read, listen and analyze the ones who support these barbaric actions. And you know why? Because that's what an open mind is about. To be open-minded does not mean to support anything coming from outside in the name of 'freedom.' My broad mind is ready to read and listen to virtually every single point of view, whether it's smart or retarded, and my particular lens will always be the same. I'm not saying that Kev is wrong about everything. I mean he's American, Caucasian, probably Texan and probably, say, a comedian, while I'm Peruvian, Hispanic, probably from the capital and probably, say, a translator. That's why we'll never get to understand each other, which we don't need to!

One of the greatest demonstrations of intellectual arrogance is to accept only the people we understand. As we don't, we assume they're wrong. And even though some people are certainly despicable and wrong to me, some others are just different. Hey, do you understand how and why Muslims pray five times a day and fast in Ramadan? Hell you don't need to understand how and why! Just accept them as human being!, and stop trying to impose your 'superior' lifestyle on them! They just don't wanna! (I'm kinda of a closet Muslim myself, so believe me- I know what I'm talking 'bout.)

Enough is enough. I'll leave you with some of my favorites videos by crazy Kev, this one 'bout a dumbass who fathered 30 kids (he's only 30 years old), works part-time and now's asking Tennessee to support them. How could we not be outraged to the point of black humor and acid sarcasm when this happens?

This was just the first of a series of blog/vlog-based posts, both in English & Spanish. Not all my favorite blogs are a laugh & a half like The Shot of the Day. Serious issues being taken care seriously catch my attention as well. And even though Kev ain't gonna like this, my next post on favorite vlogs will probably be about The Young Turks ;-)
